I'm worried it will be hard, I don't want to give up my coffee (bagels, wine, etc.) forever, what if I can't do it?

I encourage everyone, you can do ANYTHING for 10 days!  Giving your body a break from toxic substances, like caffeine, does wonders for your entire system.  This does not mean it has to be forever.  The 10 day break allows you to choose to drink your coffee (eat your bagel, drink your wine), as opposed to feeling like a slave to caffeine or that you have to have it.  You regain control and have the experience of what feeling energized daily feels like.  

Cleansing with a Health Coach gives you the opportunity to follow through and succeed with someone who is knowledgable.  You have accountability, but also support.  Between email chats and the meetings you will feel connected.  It actually makes cleansing fun!

What is the benefit to cleansing my body?

Our bodies take in many toxins on a daily basis, from the foods we eat to the lotions we put on our skin.  Toxins make our body's processes run slower and can lead to sluggishness, weight gain, headaches, achy joints, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, high blood sugar, etc etc!  When you cleanse the body and eliminate common toxic foods, you regain energy, boost your metabolism, balance your blood sugars, and relieve the organs from overworking.

What is a food-based cleanse or elimination diet?

During a food-based cleanse you continue to eat, yet eliminate the intake of toxic foods that cause inflammation.  This cleanse is an elimination diet, which means we eliminate common toxic foods and allergens, giving our liver a break from having to process new toxins coming in.  We also add in foods that are high in nutrients and minerals, giving ourselves optimum nutrition.

Are there any supplements or special products that we need to take on the cleanse?

You may be introduced to some new foods, but there are no special cleanse powders, capsules, or supplements.  Everything on the cleanse is food and you will be guided every step of the way from where to purchase to how to prepare everything on the cleanse.

If I lose weight won't I gain it all back after the cleanse?

Weight loss on the cleanse is very common.  Most people lose between 5-15 lbs depending on how much they have to lose (though some lose more).  There are many benefits to cleansing with food.  You don't lose "false weight" from emptying your intestines (full intestines weigh about 5 lbs), you replace unhealthy eating habits with healthy ones--allowing more of a long term weight shift, and you boost your metabolism giving you a fresh start as you reintroduce foods.  

What will I be eating? 

Fresh fruits and vegetables, clean protein sources, whole grains, stimulating herbs, soluble fibers, and lots of hydration.  Every element of the cleanse is there to flush the system, circulate the blood, increase nutrient and mineral intake, and cleanse and rebuild the liver.

What if I have to miss a call?

That is not a problem, people with all kinds of schedules have been able to cleanse and get the support they need.  I make sure everyone has the information necessary and feels confident in the cleanse process.   

I have a very physical job, will I have the energy to get my work done?   

Though you may experience a slight drop in energy initially, within a few days you will experience more lasting energy.  You can continue to be as physical as you've been prior to the cleanse, whether it be demands of work or exercise.
